Wicked: For Good Premiere

 Hi, I am Alana Lowery and welcome back to my blog! Since last week Wicked came out I thought what better way to celebrate then to break down the fashion on carpet for the Wicked part 2 premiere. First let's start with Ariana Grande her carpet look was a little basic, but the pink goes with the theme of her character in Wicked, so it makes sense. Because her character in Wicked Glinda is all about pink, girly, and bubbly. I think it is stunning, so I give it a HIT, but I did I expected more for her.                               

                                                                             

 
Next, we have Michelle Yeoh with this huge yellow dress. I this it is different from anything I have seen but something is just off about it is not stunning and jaw dropping to me. I think that everything is just too big and overwhelming. I see the vision, but it just did not think it landed like she wanted it to. I think if the dress was smaller, I would have loved it more than what we got here. This is a MISS for sure.                                             

Lastly, the iconic Cynthia Erivo this outfit is most icon outfit I have seen Cynthia wear. It goes so well with her character in Wicked. I loved this look so much it is giving Wick Witch from the West. The mask and the cap look are my favorite which surprised me. Because in the movie she is not really the bad guy she is the hero trying to save OZ. So, I see this as kind of representation of her being the hero even though people see her as this dark wick witch. So, to me this is a HIT it is everything I needed and expected to out of her.

Thanksgiving Expo

 Hey y'all! I am Alana Lowery and welcome back to my blog. Today we will be talking about Thanksgiving outfit ideas for both men and women. Since Thanksgiving is next week, I wanted to dive into some looks to help y'all out. We will first start with women outfits. I think this outfit is the perfect thanksgiving outfit. When I think of Thanksgiving color are yellow, brown, and orange. This dress is not an overwhelming amount of brown, so it does not over do with the bold brown jacket. Which is awesome because they blended so well. The first thing I think about when I think of fall is boots. Because it is that breezy, cold weather so you want to be cozy. So long boots brings together the outfit. Then paired with the yellow purse really gives the pop of color and makes a statement. 

But if you do not want to dress up you can do something a little bit more 

casual with some jeans and a cute top or jacket. But to make it feel

 and look more put together do some accessories. Like in this

 second image she is laid back and add a brown and white scarf 

that made it so cute. Her shoes are some loafers that are trending 

right now. Which I think is so costal and they were very popular 

this summer in women's fashion. But I think they are going to be

 trendy this fall too. 

Next, we are going to into some men's outfits , you will see the image for visual aspects. I think for this Thanksgiving outfit for men it is very chill and laid back. Some simple jeans and a jacket with a sweater is very casual and fall vibes. If it is cold, you can do some layering with jacket, flannel, and sweater. I think this would look so good. Carhartt jackets are so comfortable and so fashionable, but they are expensive. So, my go to Amazon has cheap look alike.

Funky Fashion

 Hi y'all I am Alana Lowery and welcome back my blog! Today we will dive into the different trends that funky but fun. I am loving different fashion styles that goes outside of the box. First, I love the scarf as necklaces. When people add charms to make it their own it is so cute. @kyliefaithjewelry_ is a great example I love how you mix and match different charms and scarf to make it more you. It gives the outfit a pop of color. Also, you can wear scarves as a belt I did that this week. It was super cute. It is a HIT for me! 

Next, ties for women. I love this trend is very much men corporate but for women. when I see a women do this trend they give me the coolest vibes ever. My favorite tiktoker right now Eve her style is so cool, unique, and funky. I love it. It works extremely well in this video she specifically wears it as a scarf which I am obsessed with. She also used the tie as a belt. She is also wearing a beret and that is the next topic I would like to dive into. Beret is back in style, I think this is also so fun for fall. Isn't it crazy how fashion always repeats itself? berets were popular in the 19th century and now they back in style again. So, it is a HIT in my book I love when people take something from the past and make it their own with modern fashion.

Lastly, this one is a bit crazy, but I think it is fun! People have 

been doing this and it actually looks decent. They are wearing men 

button downs as skirts. Taking two shirts and buttoning them 

around their waist. This is such a niche fashion trend, but I think it is simple and can go far. I do see it not looking good if one does not get the right colors to make it not clash but at the same time make it your own. In the picture these two colors go together so well. I think this trend can be a HIT & MISS.

Men's fashion

 Hi y'all I am Alana Lowery and welcome back to my blog! Today we will talk about men's fashion something we have not done yet, it is very new to this blog. We have only talk about women fashion so far, but I wanted to switch it up and talk a little bit about men fashion fall edition. really like when men put effort into their outfits something about it just make it more attractive obviously but also put together. I will say that sweatpants every day or every week is a big MISS it gets to point where it is just boring. I get it comfy and not feel like putting on clothes is okay every once and awhile but not every day. Slides this is a man stable when they want a quick shoe this is the Birkenstocks of men shoes. We need to switch it up. Here on campus, I see the same men wearing them every single day. Total MISS. 

Fall fashion for men can be both comfy but also dressy a little bit it does always have to be sweatpants and hoodie. @Sweethatco is the perfect example of fall style. Their clothes are expensive, but you can easily find clothes on Amazon, Tj Maxx, and H&M. H&M clothes for men especially have popped off. Sweethatco founder's taste is incredibly good. Here is a picture for example. This style is a such a big HIT in my opinion. Jackets like this style and a baseball cap is just chef's kiss. Baggy jeans are definitely a go to and what I recommend but skinny is a MISS in so many different eras. I think it is also more comfortable and looser. 

Last thing we will talk about shoe choices. In the picture you see Adidas that is a really good example of a daily shoe. Along with Nike, Converses, and Tennis shoes. For that dressier vibe Loafers, Boat shoes, and Sperry are good options.

Fall Fashion pt. 2

Hi y'all, I am Alana Lowery and welcome back to my vlog. Today we will be diving into part two of fall fashion. First thing we will talk about is flannels. Flannels have always been a fall favorite, but I have mixed feelings about it. Flannels can be dressed really well but also the length can make it not look as good. Really oversized and long flannel on a person makes it look weird but the right length on of flannel on a person makes it look good. So, flannels are a HIT & MISS depending on the execution of the outfit. 

Second, layering shirts over one another. @Audreytrullinger is a great example of this trend. Here is a picture for visuals. I love it, it is so cute and fun. This is a HIT it is something different and it is a basic layering that you can just throw it on when you need a quick fit. This with some cute jeans or skirt with some long Hunter boot. Hunter boots are something I need to invest in especially in Charleston. They are good for so many things like rain, mud, and work. So, with the rain here in Charleston I think it is a good idea. They are just so durable which I love in a shoe. It is such a HIT. @oh.binma outfit with the boost is a great example. I love her outfit the vibes are giving rain day in England, with the coat and skirt. 

Lastly, OVERALLS they are so comfy and easy to throw on. 

They are also an easy outfit idea. This is one of my go to outfits 

I love to dress around it because you can just mix and match it up. 

It is so much fun to do I feel like a doll when I get to mix and match

my clothes up. For example, there is a picture of me on the right. I think fashion is what you make it but it is good to know what is in and out in the fashion world and that is what I am here to help with!
